Genuine OEM Whirlpool replacement shift actuator for top-load washers. Located at the bottom of the machine, this electronic component controls the transition between agitation and spin cycles by shifting the splutch cam ring. If your washer pumps but won't spin, won't agitate, won't start, or spins slowly, the shift actuator is the most common cause.

INSTALLATION

Unplug washer and turn off water before starting. Tip washer forward to access the bottom. The actuator is mounted next to the motor with 2 screws and 1 wiring plug. Remove old actuator, install new one, reconnect plug. Run calibration cycle after install. Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver. Typical install time: 20–30 minutes.
